Mutual recognition

Mutual recognition recognises qualifications or statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation.

To receive credit for previous study, must provide certified copies of their qualifications, statement of attainment/s etc.

Students will be required to achieve least one competency in a normal enrolment or recognition of prior learning.

Credit transfer

If you are seeking credit at university for studies, before enrolling you will need to contact the relevant university.

Recognition of prior learning (RPL)

Recognition of prior learning recognises a student's current skills and experience regardless of where and when the learning occurred. Applications for RPL are based on competencies.

Students can base their application on any combination of formal or informal training and education, work experience or general life experience.

Please contact Smart Nation for information or to apply for recognition of prior learning it will be necessary to complete an RPL form and provide supporting evidence.

Evidence may include:

• interview
• workplace visits
• portfolio of work and or completed assessment items from previous study
• assessment tasks or a test (oral, written or practical)
• acknowledgement of experience by supervisor or employer.
